Ice Skating at the Spectrum

Well, Halloween is over, and November is here - and you know what that means, don't you? The holiday season is officially upon us! Time to begin writing your Thanksgiving shopping lists, brainstorming your Christmas wish list, and scouting for the perfect gifts for your friends and fam! Time to turn up Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas," heat up the egg nog, and light the fireplace (even though we all well know it'll never be truly cold enough in sunny OC to warrant a lit fireplace)!

Another thing to add to your holiday tradition check list this year (if you haven't already added it in years past) is to take the kiddos to the Irvine Spectrum to ice skate on their holiday rink! The rink is located in the Giant Wheel Court (next to Macy's, Nordstrom, and well, the Giant Wheel). It opened yesterday and will stay open for an extended run this year - all the way until February 21st, 2011! Prices are $12 for an hour-long skate session, and $4.50 for skate rental. Helmets are optional and available free of charge. Season passes, private lessons, and private parties are also available by calling (949) 748-8280.

For more info, call the number above or visit www.skatespectrum.com.

Let me be the first to wish you a bright and cheery holiday season!
