Free Admission to OC Fair

Remember when we were all worried there might not be an Orange County Fair anymore? It was a dark time for many. Thoughts of missing out on the artery clogging fair food, the jerryrigged-with-paperclips-and-bubblegum fair rides, the creepy carnies, or Weird Al's annual Pacific Amphitheater show was hard to swallow. Well we can put those dreary thoughts behind us and look to brighter days, because the OC Fair is here to stay! [And the peasants rejoiced.] In exactly a week from today, The OC Fair will open it's gates, and Fair Drive will be bumper to bumper with cars full of giddy, grinning folks ready to revert to the joys of childhood.

I have more good news: On opening day Sparkletts water is teaming up with the OC Fair to offer free admission AND free parking from noon to 1 p.m.! Once you're in the door for free you'll enjoy $1 food tastings from noon to 4 p.m., $1 Carnival Rides and Games from noon to 7 p.m., and free general admission seating with fair admission to The 36th Annual Speedway Fair Derby in the Action Sports and The Pink Floyd Experience in the Pacific Amphitheater. It is however first come first serve, so get training because things could end up looking like the Lakers Championship victory riots with such an exciting deal as this!

Don't they say that everything tastes better when it's free? Well hop in your car and get over to the county fair between 12 and 1; fried twinkies and funnel cake will never taste so good.

Fair opens July 16th and goes through August 15th.

  2. Be nice if the writer thought about adding the actual dates on the fair for those who do not know.

  3. Added the dates in there for the Fair.

And GiFF, how fun is the "meh" button? I've always hoped someone would use it. I must admit the credit goes to that one Simpsons episode where Bart and Lisa use it describe their excitement (or lack thereof) about Homer's idea of going to Legoland. So classic.
