Sports Day at Craig Regional Park

Are you a sports buff? Got one in your family? Maybe you're just looking for a chance to get your kids off the wii and into a "real" game? Well, this Sunday, October 10, OC Parks will present Sports Day at Craig Regional Park in Fullerton. Star players, teams, and coaches from different sports will come together for a fun-filled day of athletic activities where children and teens can learn athletic skills from the pros.

There will be stations to appeal to just about every kind of athlete: soccer, baseball, basketball, racquetball, sand volleyball, football, and softball. Former Angels pitcher David Frost, legendary USC running back Anthony Davis, the LA Galaxy Soccer Street Team, Cal State Fullerton women’s volleyball team, Hope International University’s softball team, and 3-time World Outdoor Singles Champion in racquetball, Rocky Carson, are just a few of the sports stars leading the activity camps.

Orange County Supervisor Shawn Nelson (Fourth District), head coach of the Fullerton Pop Warner Pee Wee Titans, will join the event to give tips and present the winners of each sports station with awards at the end of the day.

Sports Day is from noon to 4 pm, is free to the public and best suited for sporties aged 6 to 17. Parking is free for the day beginning at 11am. The first 1,000 attendees will receive a complimentary lunch and beverage. For those less athletically enthusiastic, additional activities will also be available, including kids craft stations and a bounce house.

Craig Regional Park is located at 3300 State College Blvd., in Fullerton, CA 92835.
