Our second installment of our month-long love letter to Orange County entitled Why We Love OC is here. This second installment features Glenn Carels the Principal Designer at architectural firm, LPA Inc., one of the largest integrated design firms in California. LPA not only holds over 300 major design awards, they are also extremely passionate about sustainability and have been dedicated to it long before the "green" trend came on the scene. The diversity of topography, climates and micro-climates that we enjoy in Orange County provide a variety of elements that stimulate the senses. Your experience along the coast in the ocean, is completely different than, say, hiking in the foothills or the canyons of Laguna Beach. This place yields a wealth of diverse conditions that really inspire people. It’s one of the reasons you see a long list of creative people coming out of Orange County –from writers to musicians to filmmakers and of course, architects. The influence this natural climate has had on my creative process is one of the many reasons I love O.C.”
