OC Music Awards Live Band Finals Last Saturday

This past Saturday, I was invited to attend the OC Music Awards' Best Live Band Final Showcase at Samueli Theater in Costa Mesa. The line-up included 5 local bands that were the winners of their 5 respective showcase nights leading up to this weekend (the showcases were all over OC during January and February):

The night was crowded (in the best possible way), energetic, and full of local talent. With five talented, charismatic bands, I don't know how the judges were able to reach a decision!

Dusty Rhodes and the River Band was awarded with a $2,500 check redeemable for Fender merchandise, and given the chance to play this Saturday at the OC Music Awards at the Grove in Anaheim. 

 

The OC Music Awards is on Saturday, March 6th, at 8 PM at the Grove, and is open to the public. Tickets to the Awards are $25/person, and are still available through the OC Music Awards website or Ticketmaster.

Nominees include Thrice, Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold, The Growlers, Death by Stereo, and more.
Live performances by Dusty Rhodes and the River Band, Billy Kernkamp, and more, TBA.
